Gli Azzurrini, dopo essere passati in svantaggio al 35' subendo la rete di Adam Lewis (Liverpool FC), capitola definitivamente nella ripresa subendo la doppietta di Sadou Diallo (Manchester City FC) che, prima al 50' poi al 55', realizza con freddezza due calci di rigore concessi dall'arbitro.
